Go At Your Own Pace

This past week there seemed to be so many people talking about how to prepare for the change of seasons.  And it totally triggered me....big time!  

I love the summer.  These days I feel like I am holding on to every ounce of sunshine that I can get it.  I hold on to the feeling of the sun on my face and the heat on my skin.  I create a memory so that when it starts to get colder I can go back to this feeling of warmth. 

There was one day last winter when I was dealing with some major cabin fever and I decided to walk to the gym in my apartment complex.  The gym is not in my building and probably is 0.05 miles away.  The wind was howling as the snow moved from the ground to the sky.  I couldn't see.  It was enough to cause me to break down in sobbing tears.  This is why I hold on to the sun. 

Others revel in the change of seasons.  They are already drinking their pumpkin spice lattes, planning their apple picking trips, and are ready for their cozy comfy sweaters.  They love the smell of freshly sharpened pencils. 

So where are the stressed out people that need these motivational change of season talks?  They are the ones watching these talks on their phones or reading the blogs.  As I Highly Sensitive Person I seem ready to push the stress button at any time, but in this case I say RELAX!  Let it go!  Walk away from the inspiration blogs and look internally.  

If you want to jump into Fall then go do it!  And if you want to savor Summer then do that too.  It really is that easy.  And even if the answer is obvious, guess what?  You are listening to your intuition which is so powerful!
