Daylight began to shorten, cooler temperatures arrived, and pumpkin spice lattes were everywhere. But the foliage was nowhere to be seen in Northern Virginia. We’ve received so much rain here (19, yes nineteen, inches above normal…as of September!) that there were reports that the leaves were likely to fall off without changing color. But just this week, Mother Nature proved everyone wrong and the colors began to pop. So on Sunday morning, I grabbed my “real” camera and went for a walk for capture these gorgeous colors. It was a brisk 45 degrees, but there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. And you better beLEAF I most certainly had a pumpkin spice latte when I was done. Fall is here. Cheers!
